Bheja Fry: An enjoyable 2 hours

Bheja Fry
Ranking: Heart Attack! (10/10)

This is one of the best new Hindi movies that I have seen in 2007 (till now).

I don't need to post a long review because the movie is short (2 hrs including interval time) and has a simple story line. Vinay Pathak has acted really well and at no point, during the movie, does the story seem to drag on. There are no useless jokes added (thankfully) and there is a bitter-sweet, real life (not reel life) feel to the movie. This could also be because of the absence of big name actors.

One of my fellow movie watchers in the theatre (an attractive female no less) passed a comment, which I happened to hear and agree with. She said 'the first half was good and the second half even better'. The movie keeps twisting and turning while never becoming complex or deviating too far from the main theme.

The main theme of the movie is: never judge a person by first impressions, go deeper and get to know them before you make up your mind.

Go watch it! Then go buy the DVD (original one - its worth the extra bucks for this movie) when it comes out.

This is a movie you can enjoy for years to come, whenever you need that bit of comedy without wanting to sit through a 3 hour Bollywood blockbuster with idiotic jokes and forced humour.
