KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS

From the Bible.

Revelation 19:11-16

19:11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war.

19:12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.

19:13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.

19:14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

19:15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”[a] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.

19:16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

This fills me with so much inspiration and awe.

The sight of the armies of heaven... amazing. I wonder if anyone has drawn this?

New Recipe

Yesterday discovered a good recipe for chicken!

I call it the Nuclear Chicken in Spicy Water! :D

1) Lightly fry some dried red chillies, bay leaves, cardemom sticks and whole black pepper.
2) Add raw onions and fresh finely cut green chillies to the frying mixture above.
3) Keep stir frying the onions till they turn light brown, then add red chilli powder, some tandoori masala and continue the frying process.
4) Once the red chilli and tandoori masala are mixed properly add Hot madras curry powder, some all purpose seasoning.
5) Keep cooking the mixture till the masala in the mixture cooks (change of colour), if the mixture sticks to the bottom of the pan dont worry.
6) Add little garlic and chopped tomatoes and make a thick gravy.
7) As soon as the gravy is formed add chicken legs (with skin removed and cuts in the meat) to the gravy and allow the two to cook together.
8) Keep stirring the gravy and chicken mixture till chicken pieces start to tighten.
9) Add salt to taste and then add water to the mixture till the gravy reaches the desired consistency (not too thin and not too thick).
10) Allow the chicken to slow boil in this for 30-40 minutes (long enough time to get drunk). Keep stirring it regularly while it is slow boiling (thus u nuke the chicken).
11) Eat it with roti, rice, bread or whatever you like! Ofcourse you will need a bowl!
WARNING: If you get seriously drunk in the 40 minute time then just switch off the gas and go to bed.. you can finish cooking it in the morning. You will also like the taste better (coz youll be SOBER!). Just remember to give it a stiff boil coz the masala needs to cook.

Another Idea: If all the chicken pieces are finished and you are left with gravy then next morning just boil up the gravy and when it is properly boiling, add few raw eggs and mix it in, and add lightyl stir fried onions on top.

:D

Lunch and dinner with one dish!

Permafrost speaks..

Yesterday was a big day for me. Atleast it should have been a very big day. I cleared my progression exam quite easily and was a bit dejected at this.
I expected it to be bit of a challenge especially since I came back from India almost 2 weeks earlier because of this.
But alls well that ends well.. the paper went in on time and ofcourse I cleared the exam.
Even though I am drunk today, a bit on alcohol and a bit on success I thought I would diverge from my usual crap talk about love and talk about a few serious things.

First one is about relationships (not love!).
Isnt it strange how suddenly we find that some relations are just so easy to break.
Some days we just might want to be alone... the last people on Planet Earth... then on other days we need to be surrounded by the press of humanity to know that indeed we are not alone. But when you are in a strange land where do you get that human touch from? To feel wanted... in the cold West is like trying to stay dry in a rain storm by walking through it naked.

Secondly it is about winter.
Sometimes it gets so cold here that you feel that sometimes you feel that your heart will freeze. Especially when you are waiting for a bus on a positively arctic morning and havent had anything since dinner some 12-13 hours ago.

Paul Van Dyk: Time of our Lives...

There's a time for us to let go
There's a time for holding on
A time to speak, a time to listen
There's a time for us to go

There's a time for living low down
There's a time for getting high
A time for peace, a time for fire
A time to live, a time to die

A time to scream, a time for silence

A time to scream, a time for silence
A time for truth against the lies
A time for fate, a time for science
There's a time for us to shine

There is a time for mis-believing
There's a time to understand
A time for hurt, a time for healing
A time you run, to make a stand

Oh, this is the time of our lives (x 4)

Hold on
